What is Jobulous?
Jobulous is an online service for people who want to learn a lot about jobs. We don’t just list job profiles. We give in-depth, customized information based on targeted, multiple-choice, workplace reviews submitted by our users. We’re like a thermometer for the workplace.

What is the “Jobulous State?”
Somewhere out there is the perfectly happy employee. This person has found a dream job, unlocked the perfect balance of work, pay, and play, and wakes up excited to greet every morning. This person has found the “Jobulous State.” Of course, the Jobulous state is a little different for everyone. So we offer personalized workplace tools for you to find your own Jobulous state.

What are some examples of the “Jobulous State?”
Someone in the Jobulous State might say: “I get paid six figures and I get my weekends free” or, “I don’t have to carry a Blackberry at this job.” Additionally, “My office is the most high-tech building in the western hemisphere,” or finally, “The company I work is impressive to my friends.” Got it?

What is the J-Score?
If Jobulous is a thermometer, the J-Score is the mercury. Think of it as a one-stop score to compare two different things, like Los Angeles versus Miami. For more info on the J-Score, click here.

Can I sign up for Jobulous?
Fill out the information, submit a complete job review, and you’re good to go. You can sign up right here.

How do I get access to job reviews?
Sign up for an account by completely reviewing a job. You can review a current job or a past one. For every review you submit, you’ll get 9 months of complete access to the site. After you submit a complete review you’ll be a Jobulous member. Once you’re a member, you have access to all our reviews! It’s pretty cool… and easy.

How do I submit a job review?
Go here and answer the rapid-fire, multiple-choice questions. The whole process shouldn’t take longer than 15 minutes and we think it’s actually pretty fun to do.

What kind of questions will be asked?
Jobulous will ask a bunch of different questions about your job, ranging from your starting salary to your boss’ management style to inter-personal relationships in the office. The Job Review survey is quick and has some “zingers” mixed in to keep things interesting.

How will my review be used?
Your review will be used to create a personal snapshot of your industry and workplace. It’ll then be made available for all Jobulous members to read (though, don’t worry: your identity will be kept a secret). Your review will also factor into the [link] J-Scores [end link] for your job, company, city, and industry. Learn more about J-Scores here.

When will my review be published?
You review will go live immediately after you’ve approved it.

Will my boss find out if I review my job?
No way. Absolutely not. Jobulous will keep your e-mail address and personal information totally private. We thrive on numbers, not names. We will never do anything to compromise your security.

What if I make a mistake in my review?
If you make a mistake, you have seven days to edit your review.

What happens if someone writes a fake review?
Jobulous checks all reviews for integrity. If any of the information submitted in a review is discovered to be false, it will be removed. However, Jobulous will not remove a negative review just because it’s negative and we will remove a positive review if the information is found to be incorrect. We’re looking for the truth, no matter where that leads us.

Who can read my reviews?
All Jobulous members have access to reviews. However, your personal user information will always remain hidden.

What is the “dashboard”?
The dashboard is your personal page. On it, you can see how many people have read your reviews, compare jobs, careers, industries, and workplaces, and get lots of other info. It’s best you see it for yourself, so sign up to give the dashboard a test drive.

How much information can I get from Jobulous?
A ton. You can compare workplace locations, job wages, workplace philosophies, and lots of other things. You can check out what kind of quality of life employees at one firm experience vs. another. You can find out what companies emphasize creative thinking and what companies allow employees to work from home. We’re really just scratching the surface here, so, seriously, sign up, submit a job review, and get clued in yourself. You could easily spend hours on one workplace’s Stats & Comparisons pages alone.

What if I forget my password?
No problem. Head to the Password Assistance page and enter your e-mail address. We’ll send you a message with a link to reset your password.

How do I change my account settings?
To change your settings, log in and click the “Edit Account Settings” button at the top of the Dashboard.

How do I change the e-mail address associated with my account?
That option is in your account settings. Log in, go to your Dashboard and click “Edit Account Settings.” From there, you can change your e-mail address or password whenever you like.

Can I invite friends and coworkers to Jobulous?
Totally. Just click the words invite friends wherever they appear on the site. Inviting friends will also extend your membership time on Jobulous.

What does Jobulous do with my personal information?
We only use your information (including job reviews) for statistical purposes. We hate spam and privacy violations as much as you. We will never give or sell your e-mail address to anyone.

Can I delete my review?
Not at this time.

I disagree with a review. What do I do?
If you disagree with a job review, write your own. The best way to influence Jobulous and the J-Score is to get connected and raise your voice. You can also go to individual reviews and tell the community if the review was helpful or not.

I think a review has false data. What do I do?
If you have a concern, contact us and let us know or, better yet, flag the review. If your worry is legit, we’ll get to work on it.

How do I flag a review?
Click one of the “Flag for Abuse” links on the review and fill out the information. We’ll check it out ASAP.
